You don't have to have it all figured out to start therapy.

I offer a space where you can show up exactly as you are. Together, we'll make sense of what you're going through and find ways to ease the overwhelm. My goal as your guide is to help you feel more grounded, connected, and confident moving forward.

Evidence-Based Approaches

I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches and tailor them to you and your goals.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) & Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

CBT helps you notice unhelpful thinking patterns and shift them in ways that change how you feel and act. DBT builds practical skills for managing intense emotions, getting through difficult moments, and navigating relationships. Together, they help you build emotional balance, resilience, and more effective ways of responding to life's challenges.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

A painful or traumatic memory can feel like a tangled knot of thoughts, feelings, and body sensations. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements, to gently loosen that knot so the memory can settle. It doesn't erase what happened, but over time the memory becomes less overwhelming, and your mind and body can respond with a greater sense of calm and control.

Narrative Therapy

We make meaning through the stories we tell about ourselves and our lives. Sometimes those stories become limiting: we focus on details that reinforce them and overlook experiences that don't fit. Together, we'll explore where your stories come from, notice the exceptions, and build a more empowering way of understanding yourself.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

We all have different parts of ourselves. One part might feel anxious, another critical, and another might just want to rest or connect. These parts develop to protect us and help us cope, even when their strategies don't always serve us well. Underneath them is a calm, grounded core Self. IFS helps that Self take the lead, so you feel more balanced and in control.

Motivational Interviewing

Change rarely happens in a straight line, and it's normal to feel two ways about it. Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative, non-judgmental approach that helps you explore what matters most to you and strengthen your own reasons and confidence for change.

Meet Cyril

Registered Clinical Counsellor, MA, BA (he/him)

I provide counselling and EMDR for adults that is grounded in respect, care, and collaboration. If you're navigating healing, identity, or life transitions, I'm here to support at a pace that feels right for you.

I hold a Master of Counselling Psychology and am a registered counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) — RCC number 25717.

With over 10 years of experience in mental health and substance use counselling, including across health authorities and non-profits, I provide trauma-informed counselling and draw on a range of therapeutic approaches.

I have a calm nature. I value safety and create a space where your identity, experiences, and values are honoured. The approaches I use include Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

I am also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Throughout much of my life, I have found deep meaning in being of service to others. Before counselling, I was naturally drawn to supporting people in whatever ways I could through being a schoolteacher, outreach worker, and caregiver. Through these experiences, I came to understand the power of truly listening and offering thoughtful, compassionate support. Outside of the counselling office, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, being active, and time on the water — whether it's paddling, kiteboarding, or cold plunging!
